433399 2006-02-24 12:35:00 I have a computer running Win 98 with a 20.5 gig master hd and a 13.6 gig slave hd. I have another 60 gig hd that I would like to jumper as slave and replace the 13.6 slave in order to recover some files. The 60 gig hd was used as master in another computer, but that computer will not boot, I think because of some corrupted windows system files. All of these hd's are Western Digital. Any tips or guidance on how or if this can be done will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, HJK

433401 2006-02-24 19:30:00 Simply replace the existing slave with the 60g one, ensuring the jumpers for it are set to slave. You can then copy the files you want, then reverse the process. Greg (193)
