One should be aware that running the security vulnerability feature will change two entries in the registry without as much as a 'by your leave' :) The two keys are: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\regfile\shell\open\command and... HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\scrfile\shell\open\command In each case the original values are replaced with NOTEPAD.EXE "%1", this means that a .reg file cannot be merged or a script file run. This is probably ok for security purposes, but these entries need to be changed back to the original if for example wanting to merge a reg file. The original values are: regedit.exe "%1" and "1%" /S Edit, I suppose I meant a .scr file not script file |
