2006-02-27 13:48:00 | I need to uninstall an old version of dreamweaver, but it doesn't appear on the windows list of add/remove programs, so how do i uninstall it? Thanks

2006-02-27 14:22:00 | In Windows Explorer go to the programs folder (probably C:\Program Files\Dreamweaver) and look for a file called UNWISE.EXE, or UNINSTALL.EXE. Double click it and Bob's your uncle. :) | Vince (406) | |
2006-02-27 17:03:00 | ok, i found uninstall.isu (an installshield extension apparently?), but when i click on it windows says it doesn't know what program created it, and installshield isn't on the list of possible apps to open it with. it gives me the browse option, but where can i find installshield by browsing to it? | modernape (9864) | |
2006-02-27 17:35:00 | Just delete it manually then, then remove all the registry entries as well if you want to be tidy. | pctek (84) | |
2006-02-27 17:49:00 | oh, yeah i suppose so. i've got easyclean registry cleaner, if i just run that after i've deleted it, should that sort it? thanks for your help

2006-02-27 18:17:00 | Probably a good idea to create a restoration point before you manually delete it. | Greg (193) | |
2006-02-27 18:19:00 | Or delete its folder, delete any folders it created in documents and settings, and then use ccleaner. And click on run cleaner and then issues / scan for issues.

2006-02-27 21:48:00 | From theeldergeek. I know you're not removing messenger, but it shows how to unhide uninstall applications. www.theeldergeek.com Navigate to C:\Windows\inf (If your Windows directory is different, substitute the proper drive letter) Open sysoc.inf Find the line that reads ...=...,hide,7 Change it to read ...=...,,7
