| 433963 | 2006-02-26 06:51:00 | WinXP OS. Samsung 52XCDROM gives 'please insert a disc into Drive E:' message when there is a cd inserted. I restored to yesterdays date and it is going ok now. This occurred also with an LG Cdrom that I replaced because of this. Something is obviously getting screwed up software wise, anybody know what? Thanks Guys |

| 433964 | 2006-02-26 08:44:00 | What sort of CDs are these? Does it occur with any CD you insert? Can you see the CD listed under My Computer, and what happens if you right-click on the CD drive under My Computer and select "Explore"? | Jen (38) | ||
| 433965 | 2006-02-26 19:38:00 | It happens with any type of cd. I didn't try it with the right click explore. though I suspect it would do the same as I did try 'my computer' left click. I will try that if it comes back. | arjay (1202) | ||

| 433967 | 2006-02-26 22:39:00 | sounds to me like the drive is dead. you can probably pick up another CD drive for $10. If you are in Invercargill, I've got a 40x CDROM you can have for free. | Greven (91) | ||
