| 435055 | 2006-03-02 09:50:00 | My sister's PC has got the popup ad/ adult dialer Instant Access installed on her PC. I have tried everything to try and get rid of it but it keeps reinstalling itself. I've tried Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, Windows Defender, CCleaner and X-Cleaner. The only thing I can think of doing now is formatting the harddrive and starting again. |

| 435056 | 2006-03-02 09:59:00 | Have you tried removing it via safe mode? Is she using a firewall? What anti-virus Program is she running? What OS is she running? Can you post a HijackThis majorgeeks.com log here - so we can see whats going on? |

| 435058 | 2006-03-02 10:02:00 | Have you tried running the removal tools from safe mode? If that fails, you should try downloading and running Hijackthis and see if that can remove it. You can post your log here for other to advise you with, or try running it through an online analyser such as this one (www.hijackthis.de). The online analyser isn't perfect but should give you some indications. Read all the comments on the flagged items carefully. [edit: see others have posted the same suggestions while I was writing mine] |
