434821 2006-03-01 11:24:00 Hi,
I have this problem with lots of my applications -
"The instruction at '<address>' referenced memory at '<address>'.
The memory could not be read.
Click OK to terminate the program."

Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know how to fix it because it's really irritating.

434822 2006-03-01 16:56:00 download nd run a program to test your ram......... drcspy (146)
434823 2006-03-02 02:52:00 This is a typical error caused by bad memory. If you are overclocking, don't. :D Most memory is just fast enough at its rated speed.

Download memtest86 and run it. (You can make a bootable floppy, or a bootable CD. Download the appropriate image file).

434825 2006-03-02 22:06:00 As mentioned earlier, check out freeware memtest86
http://www.memtest86.com

It usually the first thing I run on a new/upgraded PC.

Under the Boot options in the BIOS, at power-up time.
The floppy must be higher in the list than the hard drive, or "floppy boot" enabled, depending on the BIOS.

434830 2006-03-04 04:03:00 How do I get to that menu because every time I press F8 when the computer boots up it just comes up with a different menu that asks what mode the computer should start up in (ie, Safe Mode)? It has nothing else in it. DarkBlade4 (9892)
