the damage may have already been done, but you can always fix it & hope no spammers got in first.

434723 2006-03-01 04:10:00 Hello Rex :)

Welcome to PressF1 :)

Before I go on you may want to read this: pressf1.co.nz & pressf1.co.nz

As since this is your first post this post could be counted to be Spam (Just a hint ;))

I have had a look at your site in IE 6.0 & Firefox 1.0.7(on win xp pro) & I can see the dark blue fine here.

I will post some screen shots shortly

It could be Xtra or something else happing here but it tacks lie 5 - 10 secs before you site to load?

Thanks for that Stu, loading times a worry. The screen shots came out black-maybe its my eyes.
Regards
Rex

434724 2006-03-01 04:11:00 Hi, just an idea, but is everyone viewing the site at same resolution? I'm useless at web site design etc, but dont you have settings for diff clour depth, res for users of older monitors?

blah, just a thought

434725 2006-03-01 04:18:00 Doesn't render perfectly in Firefox, the center table ends up with a vertical scrollbar in some pages
Background is dark blue in both IE & Firefox and is easy to read

Thanks for that, Im not sure what you mean by the first paragraph though.

Are you talking about screen shots that you took, or the screen shots that were posted here?

434729 2006-03-01 08:19:00 it sounds like your video card or monitor can't display that particular colour. Possibly a hardware problem.
I'm surprised there was someone else with the same problem

434730 2006-03-01 18:24:00 Rex's style sheet . turnstiles . co . nz/styles/evolve . css" target="_blank">www . turnstiles . co . nz

Rex, its blue for me in Opera, but your body font is hard to focus on . I find it really difficult to read, its a long tall font and with white text makes it hard on the eyes .

But its strange, its only arial
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;

And even more strange its meant to be black

color: black;

which is normally good .

Color is background-color: #CBD0D4;

Sorry I ran out of time, but be careful with inverted colors on websites, dark background and light text, sometimes it doesn't show up well on some monitors .

maybe somone else with more time can puzzle out the font issues :)

434731 2006-03-01 22:03:00 I popped the css into topstyle lite which makes it more readable

The background color is background- color: #003366;
The font is arial, but it must be an optical issue with white and blue that for me makes it hard to read.

You might find your original background a nicer color
background- color: #CBD0D4;
color: black;

whats this? :)
