435218 2006-03-03 08:47:00 Hi,

I have a domain (with website hosted by a hosting company), and email addresses attached to that domain. When I send emails through that domain, connecting to my website's mail server, it usually takes at least 5 minutes to send emails. But when I send the same email through my ISP email account the emails go instantly. I've had my webhost looking into it and they've run tests and all sorts and can't find anything wrong, and have suggested that it may be my ISP blocking (or restricting) access to other (not my ISP's) SMTP servers. Is this likely? Or have I just set something up wrong (either at my end or at the webserver end)? Or does the problem lie with my webhost?

I have contacted my ISP but it will probably be after the weekend before they get back to me about it, so I was hoping for a solution here :)

Thanks,
Mike.

435220 2006-03-03 09:08:00 which webhost is it?Openhost (http://www.openhost.co.nz/) - they're a NZ webhost company with NZ based servers, and have been great so far (apart from this little problem, which isn't a major, just annoying).

435221 2006-03-03 09:11:00 It sounds a bit like the problem is with the web host.

How are you sending the e-mails via Outlook Express or something like that or via a script?

How are you sending the e-mails via Outlook Express or something like that or via a script?I am sending them using Outlook Express (was previously using Outlook 2003 until the computer died... this old thing is just running good ol' OE).

I should probably add, these problems didn't occur until the last couple of weeks, which makes it a bit more odd...
