| 435550 | 2006-03-05 01:00:00 | Sometimes when I turn the computer off through windows shutdown the computer fails to completely turn off. The monitor displays no image but the fans and power supply are still working in the computer. Specs are as follows: Windows XP Home edition, service patch two added and critical patches applied to current date. AMD 64 bit 4200 dual core CPU 1Gig Ram Foxconn NF4K8AC-8EKRS (939 motherboard) MSI NX7800GT Thermaltake 560 power supply Does anyone know why the system fails to completely shut down? Thanks, Shomenno |

| 435553 | 2006-03-06 07:07:00 | When this happens on my computers (one Win98, very susceptible to this problem, and one XP) I run AdAware (www.lavasoft.de or see March 2006 PC World CD) and/or Spybot (March 2006 PC World CD), and that has always fixed the problem. | annie (6010) | ||
