| 435443 | 2006-03-04 19:05:00 | Well I have 3 hard drives. A 300GB IDE and a 160 IDE. And a 160 Sata. I installed windows xp pro on to the 160 ide. When i boot just with the ide it loads windows everything works fine. But once I attach the Sata it brings up an error of Missing Master HDD. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks My ideal setup 300gb - data 160 ide - windows xp 160 sata - programs |

| 435444 | 2006-03-04 19:41:00 | Is the SATA onboard SATA? If the SATA is onboard, is the SATA hdd connected to SATA 1 or 2, and configured in the BIOS as 3rd or 4th Primary Master? Which ASUS mobo have you got?? Also, if the SATA header is on the mobo, I take it you have connected 2 cables to the SATA hdd? The header on the mobo is only for data, not power . . . . You need a molex power adapter (with a SATA hdd power plug) if the PSU doesnt have 1 on it . |
