When i boot just with the ide it loads windows everything works fine. But once I attach the Sata it brings up an error of Missing Master HDD. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks

My ideal setup

435444 2006-03-04 19:41:00 Is the SATA onboard SATA?

If the SATA is onboard, is the SATA hdd connected to SATA 1 or 2, and configured in the BIOS as 3rd or 4th Primary Master?

Which ASUS mobo have you got??

Also, if the SATA header is on the mobo, I take it you have connected 2 cables to the SATA hdd? The header on the mobo is only for data, not power . . . . You need a molex power adapter (with a SATA hdd power plug) if the PSU doesnt have 1 on it .
