| 435286 | 2006-03-08 08:05:00 | Hi Effie, For me, the antivirus only updates at exactly the times listed in the Scheduled Tasks folder, not within 5 minutes of start-up. Norton's resets the times to a 4 hour schedule following either a manual or automatic update. It updated last night at 7.52pm and must have taken 3 minutes to do so because the schedule is now at 7.55pm and 4 hourly after that. So it is really hard to keep track of when to be online to get it automatically. The Norton Internet Security I am trialling from Paradise (telstra clear) consists of Antivirus and Firewall. It is probably good security but it has slowed my system down a lot more than Norton Systemworks 2002 which is now not renewable - it needs to be upgraded. Finn. |
