436228 2006-03-07 03:03:00 I'm loading my software onto a new computer - XP Home. In order to load Omnipage Pro14, an upgrade version, I had to load an earlier version. Having completed the task I uninstalled the earlier version. I am now getting an annoying message every time I boot the machine. it reads:

Invalid Schedule File
C:\PROGRAM FILES\CAERE\OMNIPAGE090\EREG\remind.sch

I presume that this (registration reminder) is something left over from the uninstall process. I haven't seen it before. I have looked for the offending file but it doesn't seem to exist (there is no Caere folder any more). I ran the registry cleaner from Ashampoo WinOptimizer but I still have the problem. Is there a simple way of getting rid of this annoyance for good?

Thanks

436229 2006-03-07 03:09:00 Type msconfig under start/run and see if that entry appears under the startup tab.

Or get ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com) run it, then go to tools / startup. See if it shows here. Or see if it appears under all programs/ startup.

Or look under accessories / system tools / scheduled tasks.

436230 2006-03-07 03:40:00 Thanks Speedy.

I have looked for the file in msconfig, also programs/startup and scheduled tasks under accessories/system tools. No sign of it. If the file exists on this machine, which I doubt, it is well hidden. My suspicion is that there is a setting somewhere that didn't get cleaned up when I uninstalled. Haven't tried ccleaner yet. I guess that is my next step unless someone has a better idea.

436231 2006-03-07 04:09:00 Have just loaded ccleaner and the file doesn't show there either. There are lots of suggestions for files to be removed (makes me nervous as I don't know what they do) but the one I am looking for is not on the list. :(

Any other suggestions of where to look?
