| 436778 | 2006-03-08 17:44:00 | I have an old 600 m/hz DELL INSPIRON 8000 laptop and the Keyboard is failing My main computer is a destop and I only use a laptop on very rare occasions so it is adequate for my needs This is a longshot but I wonder if anyone has a faulty one of this model lurking around that I can beg or buy. Hinges (?) had gone, a saddle was broken, screen surround clips had long pinged somewhere in the house, mains connector to the laptop had worn off and it was in terrible shape. I went here http://www.parts-people.com/ and ordered everything to fix it and some extras!. Communication was excellent, prices were far, far cheaper than sending it to my local repairer (including shipping) and I have basically a new feeling laptop. I took the 7500 apart myself, replaced the bits in under an hour. Have a look at their site. P.S. if anyone wants a screen surround, screen cover with clips and hinges I have a spare one to buy! No keyboard though I'm afraid. |
