436923 2006-03-09 06:15:00 HI,I did a scan with AVG-free addition-& had four items said to be-"Virus Identified Java/byte verify"in Sun Java.It said it was infected but did not put them in Isolation.I installed Sun Java for a particular job.Is Java dangerous,& should I uninstall the Sun program.?

436925 2006-03-09 06:24:00 Go Start/Setting/Control Panel/ and double click on the Java Icon and the hit the Delete Files tab.This will clean out the temps where the virus is. Pancake (6359)
436926 2006-03-09 08:18:00 No, Sun Java isn't dangerous. It is apparently more secure/safe than Microsofts Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
I used to get these messages occassionally in AVG. You will usually find they are in a zip file and be a .jar file. I used to manually delete the zip file.
