436555 2006-03-08 02:52:00 I have a FOLDER in Microsoft Outlook especially for downloading daily PHOTO TIPS but in making it I gave it a PASSWORD.....which repeatedly appears on the screen as an HOUR GLASS and eventually creates a FREEZE which by going CTRL/ALT/ DELETE I may remove but it is a bit of a pill because it happens all the time AND IS DRIVING MY WIFE CRAZY....and I am CTRL/ALT/DELETING all the time.... .....so I am going crazy too !!!??? :badpc: olldaddy78 (6546)
436556 2006-03-08 08:26:00 What version of Outlook is this?

What do you mean by the password appearing as an hourglass icon? This icon (cursor) normally is used to indicate a busy or working process. What exactly are you removing using CTRL-ALT-DEL? Do you mean you are using the Task Manager and stopping an application or process? Is it Outlook that you are killing this way? Does it give a "not responding" status?

436557 2006-03-08 10:03:00 What version of Outlook is this?I've gone from Outlook 2000, to Outlook XP, to Outlook 2003... and none of them allow me to put passwords on folders... Have you installed an add-on that allows this feature?

Why don't you just move whatever is in that folder to a new, non password-protected folder, and delete the old folder?

Mike.
