| 436534 | 2006-03-08 00:19:00 | when i turn on the computer the BIOS detects the hard drive, windows setup boots from cdrom and loads files but when i choose new setup it says there is no hardrive in and to reboot, so i ejected the cd to see if it would boot to the hard drive, the computer turns on, it detects the hard drive and continues loading but then it says DISK BOOT FAILURE, insert system disk blah blah enter, u know the one. anyway, i have tried multiple hard drives (that i know work) and different IDE cables, a different PSU (that i know works) and nothing seems to change the DISK BOOT FAILURE error. Does anyone have any suggestions? it is a newly purchased motherboard so it shouldnt be but could be faulty cheers James |

| 436537 | 2006-03-08 01:38:00 | It looks as if you have done all the right trouble shooting so it is pointing towards a faulty mainboard. One last thing you could do is check the manufactures website for a BIOS update for the mainboard. |
