437430 2006-03-11 08:55:00 I'm going to the Greek Isles in May, and later to Hawaii. How do I get into the Internet on my Toshiba laptop when overseas. It has a wireless connection, but I don't know what that means.

If I connect the laptop to a local telephone line, is there a way to get from there to the Internet? Before I moved to Xtra I used GRIC with Iprolink but it was very unreliable and horrendously expensive.

My computer has Xtra broadband but the laptop uses dial-up.

Its called Ipass, its not cheap but it works well, I have used it.
Greece is $14.80/hr and America is about half that.

You would need to add any local call phone charges to the dial-up costs, can be high from hotels.

437432 2006-03-11 10:20:00 I've used Ipass for years through my employer. It generally works quite well, but I'll echo what godfather highlighted: the costs can really add up if spend a lot of time online. For quick sessions here and there, it's quite good. chatoyer (2090)
