437294 2006-03-11 06:52:00 Update download successful but don't know how to install it. I have it in the avg folder but Update still says I need to download the same one then goes onto the error message.

Further guidance appreciated

437295 2006-03-11 06:55:00 Haven't got AVG installed anymore but from memory open up AVG, click on Update and when it asks you whether you want to update from internet or a folder, choose the latter and direct it to the path where your download is .

Sorry I can't be more specific but you should be able to follow your nose unless your settings have been changed from the defaults .

437296 2006-03-11 07:06:00 Here's how to update manually Valerie

1 . Launch AVG Control Centre
2 . Double click "Update Manager"
3 . Under properties tab, untick the "Do not ask for update source", then click "ok"

Now when you go to update, it will ask you where you want to update from .
Click on the "Folder" option, then navigate to where ever you saved the manual updates, and update from there . Easy as pie .

Dont forget to retick the box you unticked earlier, or just click the "remember this option" box next time you do it .
