| 437265 | 2006-03-10 22:51:00 | I tried doing a mail-merge from Word to Outlook (2003) - it worked fine, but Outlook's security seemed to kick in so I had a delay of 5 seconds then I had to click YES for every email I created... something to do with "another program is trying to use Outlook to send emails". Is there any way to turn this off, as I have a number of emails being created, and it'll take ages to wait 5 seconds then click YES for every email. Might almost be faster to create new emails and paste the contents in over and over. Mike. |

Unless each Word doc has personal details, as you can do in MailMerge, I normally and regularly just send an email to a couple of group addresses and make the Word doc an attachment. One message, one attachment and foolproof - every club member who has email gets a copy. My server even tells me if one of them has recently changed address without notifying me - this happened this week. | Scouse (83) | ||

The functionality is there to do it, just the security part gets in the way (I mean it works if I sit there and wait the 5s and press yes for every email... just takes ages)... I'd prefer to just be able to turn that security "feature" off - even if it is just temporary. Mike. |
