| 437190 | 2006-03-10 09:09:00 | i just got a new 6600 256mb AGP graphics card and it works fine except for one problem. All videos (games,dvds,etc) I play are VERY choppy. Like i get 5 second pauses every 20 seconds. Im running nvidia drivers version 81.95. help me guys? | jason_f90 (3544) | ||

| 437193 | 2006-03-10 17:50:00 | Try the 81.98 (www.nvidia.com) drivers. Remember to uninstall the drivers that are installed now, before you install these. Or uninstall the drivers you have now, boot into safe mode, and run Drivercleaner Pro (http://www.drivercleaner.net/) select the Nvidia option and this program will remove all driver files relating to it. (uninstall the drivers FIRST, before you use Drivecleaner). Then reinstall the latest version of the drivers. This program fixed my prob. I used to run a Nvidia based card, and changed to an ATI card. BUT then the two drivers started to conflict, and the system kept on rebooting when I used video out. Getting rid of all drivers, then reinstalling only the ATI drivers fixed this prob. |
