437045 2006-03-09 21:04:00 I use Windows XP home on a network and we share files over the network, however there are some files/folders that I only want to share with a few people and I have looked everywhere for password folder (I know you could do it in Win98 etc) but no joy.
How can I have it that people can see the folder over the network but have to type in a password to access the folder.
If Windows cant password folders what software will let me password the folder but people can access it on their machines by typing in the password.

Cheers

437047 2006-03-09 22:11:00 Is the hdd formatted in NTFS??

Simple file sharing would have to be unticked (under my computer / tools / folder options / view). To get the extra options / permission options.
