437060 2006-03-09 20:43:00 I saw a post that wanted to reduce All Programs, they suggested an app which I thoughtfully downloaded, something like tidy menu.
Having reduced menu into categories,I find lots missing.
So decided to delete program, hoping all would be well, but I have removed app but am left with the condensed menu with half my stuff missing.
Is there an easy solution?

Things to try:

System restore

Manually create all the shortcuts

I did answer your question, I thought?

Or, try this.
Right click on the Start button, then Properties, then Start menu, then check the Classic start Menu, and Customise, then you can use the Add button to add back the programs that are missing. You will most likely browse to Program Files.

I did answer your question, I thought? Indeed you did T.
I was rather hoping that one could somehow revert back to where things were, but has been too long.
I will play with these silly apps.

437066 2006-03-10 04:45:00 There might of been an option within the program to undo any changes. Did you look for one? What's the name of the program? Jen (38)

Indeed Jen,but too late it's gone, can't remember name.
Will write it down in future.

437068 2006-03-10 21:30:00 Tidy Start Menu ( . snapfiles . com/get/tidystartmenu . html" target="_blank">www . snapfiles . com) wasn't it?

Another link here ( . tidystartmenu . com/index . shtml" target="_blank">www . tidystartmenu . com) .

The program has a backup/restore start menu wizard, whatever that is, but if you have already uninstalled the program you may be out of luck unless it has left the necessary shortcut files in your Programs folder . If there are still files remaining try installing it again and look for the restore wizard .

You are well on your way to becoming a geek, Cic .

Thanks F . I think that was the one,I downloaded it again,to see if it had a return to original, but it doesnt,so I am stuck with what is left .
To enter geekdom I am of the opinion the main requisite is a good memory, this I do not have,so I must remain a messerupperer . ;)
