1386885 2014-10-27 00:00:00 Wondering if anyone on Press F1 has tried the new Note 4? What did you think of it? Good/bad points?

The audio quality for the multimedia isn't fabulous from what I've read after doing a little googling, but otherwise it has got some positive reviews. Am planning a long overdue mobile phone upgrade this weekend and like the idea of a phablet. :) Would use it for e-reading, music, a bit of browsing as well as for phoning/texting.

1386886 2014-10-27 03:35:00 Nope but I did buy a 2nd hand Note 3 and I love it. Upgraded from an S3 which was already a pretty nice phone but I just love the extra screen size and the pen is handy at times.
From what I can gather the note 4 is a slight improvement overall but quite similar in daily use.

1386887 2014-10-27 04:38:00 The 3 & 4 can both play hi res audio from what I have read, so maybe the audio quality is good?

Remember the old story "crap in, crap out". Maybe the reviewer was listening to crap mp3's.

1386888 2014-11-11 08:22:00 Bit the bullet and bought one and it's awesome . :) Mobile phones have come a very long way since I last bought one, that's for sure! I have a feeling I'll never stop discovering new things it can do .

Only odd thing is that the black phone comes with all white accessories - usb cable, charger and ear pods . This doesn't bother me hugely, but for anyone wanting everything to match you might want to ask for the white Note 4 .

As for the audio it's excellent through the ear pods (and even better through my sennheiser ones) - much better than I expected . The single mono speaker on the back of the phone is rubbish, so I suspect that is what the reviews I saw criticising the audio were about . Obviously if you're wanting to listen to music you wouldn't choose that way to do it though . . .

I'm really happy with it . Thanks for the replies kenj and dugimodo . :)

That is because they are unsuccessfully trying to imitate Apple's design ethos where white represents clean simple uncluttered design, how ever in this case white earbuds look a bit odd against a black device.

BUT as for white, yep everything on the apple store is white store.apple.com - Not. Bit surprised they haven't tried to patient "white" as well ;)

Pity iphones didn't have a simple, clean, uncluttered slot where you could bung a micro sd card. :)

Colour would be of no consequence.
Now that would be smart
