1398952 2015-04-27 23:45:00 im not a retailer. im not a business. i am an artist.

i never pay for people's parts, they do that themselves. they keep all the paperwork.
its their computer. i just design it and sometimes even put it together.

this is art, i dunno how it gets conflated as a commercial enterprise.

Do they pay you? If so you're a business in all but name and the law still applies

1398955 2015-04-28 01:04:00 Unless you paint the case then the case could be considered art, but not the computer inside gary67 (56)
1398956 2015-04-28 01:21:00 Its art if its stuck onto a Ak wharf, or attached to the side of a building. Then the Ak council will pay $100,000+ for it. 1101 (13337)
1398957 2015-04-28 16:06:00 its almost like negative outlooks are being wished upon me. do not want

$93.00 1 x Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL11 8GB
$157.00 1 x AMD FX-Series FX-6300 3.5GHz Socket AM3+ Box

could do with additional storage, alternatively an i3 and a nvidia gpu can be used. a different case/psu is another thing to think about

how is this not an art?

On the contrary, not anyone can build a computer (yes it's easy enough but still beyond some people) and art is subjective. Anyone can call anything art, it's really a rather meaningless term in many cases.

Having the technical ability to choose and assemble a good mix of components at a given price point is something you might describe as an art form but in reality it's just the normal work of a competent technician. Custom Building a PC with water cooling and cabling designed to look good, now that can be art.

By the way you should have received a package by today or maybe tomorrow with the long weekend, I trust it reaches you unharmed. I don't entirely trust the handling of the post service.

1398961 2015-04-29 05:12:00 It's even special anti-static foam (just the pink stuff not the grey) acquired from the box an exchange VDSL card comes in. Considering the cards cost more than some PC's I figured it ought to work. dugimodo (138)
