| 1399041 | 2015-04-26 07:31:00 | You can try running the bootable Paragon CD and removing drivers, then reinstall the new ones. Suggest if you want to try, use the Vista install since it seems to be the worst offender giving trouble. The ASUS setup CD stuff doesn't support Vista, What about the ASUS site, it may have drivers for Vista. Other times its just not going to work correctly and a fresh install would be better. |

| 1399042 | 2015-04-27 11:20:00 | I finally managed to drag Vista kicking and screaming into line. It took the Paragon CD plus untold searches for missing drivers and uninstalls and re-installs of drivers, but it finally seems to be going now. I only bothered doing it for the intellectual challenge as I can't remember the last time I fired up Vista to actually do any real work. It also wants me to re-activate which I haven't been able to do yet because I couldn't get the LAN drivers to go. Should be all right now though. Despite all the hassle it was still less than it would have been to re-install Vista + all the apps from scrat ch. I still can't get the on-board video to perform as I'm assuming it should despite a few attempted driver updates, so I'm still using the Radeon 4800 card. |
