2014-11-11 03:08:00 | On a slightly different tack, what irritates me are those organisations (like St John frinstance) that make appeals for donations, and when you go to their site to make a payment, find you can only pay by credit card. Why cant they just put up their bank account details so direct payments can be made ? So much easier for everyone. If you like I can send you my a/c #, that would, I hope cheer you up!

2014-11-15 02:28:00 | I am adding this to the Spark again post. Our Spark online bill arrived two days ago and when I clicked on the Take a Look section only page 2 of the 3 pages was visible. Pages 1 and 3, that normally show the itemised parts of the bill were blank, apart from the gizmo in the middle of the page that would hypnotise anyone who stared at it long enough. We tried another desktop and a couple of android appliances with the same outcome. The i-pad showed all three pages clearly. I have emailed them but am not holding my breath for a quick reply. Then we discovered that by saving it we could view it via adobe, a very round about way of solving the problem for the moment. I've never had that problem with their previous online bills. Has anybody else had the same problem?

2014-11-15 02:42:00 | They do say on the view page that you need a PDF reader to view it.. With the exception of Opera 27 beta all other web browsers have no problem reading it or opening it up in a PDF reader.. | paulw (1826) | |
2014-11-15 05:22:00 | Thanks paulw. All my other Telecom/Spark online accounts have come as PDF and are readable without any problems. I am not sure whether this one is just a glitch. Maybe I am missing something but when you state needing a PDF READER " are you meaning it is on the accompanying email or actually once inside the "take a look"section? If the latter, then apart from their own ad on page 2 (the only visible page) there is no wording showing. | Marnie (4574) | |
2014-11-15 05:53:00 | 6025 The above shows the screen shot from the View area which say that the file is a PDF and you need a PDF view or plugin installed on your PC to read the file. As I said above the only browser that I have found that can't open up this file is Opera 27. I don't know what browser you are using but if it can open PDFs in the browser window or and a separate attachment it should work..

2014-11-15 06:00:00 | If you wanted to install a PDF reader, Dont put in Adobe, you'll be bugged all the time with it. Personally I use nitro Free, it integrates with browsers and has no problems reading PDF's (usually) :2cents:

2014-11-15 17:45:00 | Thanks paulw. All my other Telecom/Spark online accounts have come as PDF and are readable without any problems. I am not sure whether this one is just a glitch. Which shows you do have a PDF reader. And probably have got some glitch. Take a look causes your browser to open the doc with your PDF viewer......can you save it and then open it manually? If so, then the browser has lost the instruction to use the PDF program. Check in settings.

Check in settings. Thanks, pctek. I've come to the conclusion that it was a glitch. Everything has been checked out. When saved it can be opened opened manually. Also, since the Spark online bill, I've had other PDF documents that have opened with no problem. |
