But first you must soak your cooked beetroot in vinegar. I'm a lifelong fan of vegemite, but that recipe's pushing the boundaries too far. Must admit I like baked beetroot though. |

One of my favourites is pretty basic, just ham, mustard, tomato, and pepper. Cheese and lettuce are optional but not required. You have to make and eat these kind of sandwiches fresh or take the tomatoes whole and pack a knife to slice them. Similarly you should put beetroot in a container and only add it to the sandwich right before eating it. I never bought into the whole marmite/vegemite thing though. Vile black goo.
