1387889 2014-11-10 06:08:00 You've never previously been able to pay a Telecom bill at a Telecom-branded mobile store, Spark recently added this option (and without removing any of the existing payment options) to try and give more flexibility and people just complain.

If the law says they can't refuse cash, then people have every right to complain.

1387891 2014-11-10 08:47:00 Cash has to be counted, their only counting specialist was made redundant last month. :( R2x1 (4628)
1387892 2014-11-10 13:28:00 I don't get it, can't understand what you are saying.

As I see it the bill now arrives by email instead of paper, we print the bill out and take it to appropriate shop to pay bill with cash or eftpos, you pay $1.50 on top of the bill each time this is done.

The only other option is direct debit unless you mean going into the bank and transferring across to Spark account which is far too much of a fag, certainly wouldn't transfer money over the internet. A number of young people use the home computer and laptops, I wouldn't put any passwords for banking into these computers.

Spark, Compass, and PowerShop all prefer one to authorize direct debit as preferred method of payment, at least that is what they have intimated to us.

.

Paying via internet banking (where you login to your bank account) is easy and secure.
I guess you may possibly have a keylogger installed but do you know how many times I have actually found one in all the years I scanned for malware on peoples PCs? Once.
Keep your PC clean, scan regularly and you're safe.

Anyway there is phone banking too and as you have mentioned, direct debit too.

Which does NOT include Norton - speaking from experience.

1387896 2014-11-10 21:08:00 I pay my bills using Internet banking using my desktop computer. My power and phone bills are set up so that Telecom or the Power Company take whatever money is owed to them directly from my bank account. I meticulously record all banking transactions using my Reckon Accounts software programme. Every cent is accounted for.

I do know of people who do not trust doing things on line. These people withdraw enough cash from the bank so that they can go to town and pay all their bills in cash. These people usually use this system to ensure that their bank account is not overdrawn.

Mine get paid by direct credit - in advance . I am not overdrawn as the bills get paid first, then what is left is for everything else . I stick to it .

I record all credits and accounts in Excel .

People who withdraw cash can get it pinched at the ATM (In news recently), it can burn along with the house, be stolen, dropped and lost, etc . . . .
