1398848 2015-04-19 02:24:00 Are you sure the subtitles are embedded? Usually when I'm encoding, I extract subtitles to an .srt text file and have it outside the container. As long as name matches video name, its included by most players.

If you can use mencoder or even vlc player/mplayer they can literally reveal more information about the video and tell you what you can expect inside it.
