| 1387077 | 2014-10-29 21:16:00 | I wonder how those awaiting Cataract Operations or Joint Replacements view such a waste of money? as opposed to all the other govt waste of monies ?? These limos are a drop in the bucket, as far as govt spending goes. Why focus on a few govt cars , why not look at the big picture of NZ spending far more than it earns Yep , lets stop buying govt limos & put all the important foreign vistors on buses. Lets look like a banana republic, when we are trying to borrow $$$$ them & sell them our butter & meat |

| 1387078 | 2014-10-29 21:27:00 | I know it is going OT with discussions about the flag, but it is all tied up together. Here is what Key said in the BM's reference "In the end you have to say, what price do you put on democracy where people can genuinely have their say on a matter that is actually important? ... This is a cost essentially of one of the values that New Zealanders would want to test." What hypocrisy when the TPP, far more important than a flag, is being kept mainly secret from Joe Public, except for leaked snippets about loss of sovereignty, and the public have absolutely no say or input whatsoever. We shall wake up to find ourselves governed by US corporations, hence the appropriateness of Donald Duck as our new flag. |

| 1387080 | 2014-10-30 02:52:00 | "Prime Minister John Key's new Government will soon have new ministerial limousines to replace the existing fleet of 34 BMWs. Ministerial Services has had BMW 730ld limousines since about 2007 in a deal first struck under former Prime Minister Helen Clark but renewed under Mr Key under controversial circumstances in 2011." First two paragraphs People are being sucked in by clickbait. They're *already* technically limo's, and you're crying they're being replaced because their lease expired? Also if memory serves me correct, the BMW proposal was the cheapest vs something from other manufacturers. |

Criticism of JK will get you a public flaying Well according to all those who voted in the last election, they do more things right than Labour. A lot of Labour voters went to National which is saying something. Admittedly it is very hard to find a reason to change the current ruling party when the economy is doing fairly well over all and the opposition party doesn't have a clear message about what it is that they are offering voters that is much better than what is already available. |
