| 1387567 | 2014-11-03 03:15:00 | The Bay of Plenty District Health Board is $20,000 out of pocket after a recent run of arson attacks in Tauranga Hospital's Acute Mental Health Unit. Full story HERE (www.sunlive.co.nz) To me this begs the question as to why these three separate arsonists, (patients of the Acute Mental Health Unit) on three separate occasions, were running around with matches or cigarette lighters. You can bet your bottom dollar they didnt start the fires by rubbing two Topsy Sticks together. Someone tell me not allowing them access to matches or cigarette lighters is an infringement on their human rights. But it gets worse. The Police have now charged them with arson. I wonder if they will plead insanity? Given they were all residents of the Acute Mental Health Unit Id give them a fair chance of getting off on that basis. What an absolute waste of time, money and resources. |
