| 1387430 | 2014-10-31 19:14:00 | Who did Halloween? Or are you all anti it? I decorated, prepared some bags of lollies...... Loads of kids came, all dressed up really well, all with an adult or older sibling. All polite and thank yous as they went. All brown kids too (of course, being Ranui - the poverty zone) .....no rudeness, no bad behaviours, not even the older boys. I watched over the road, heaps of people didn't even open the door. One wee girl (2-3?), in a long black dress and vampire makeup, bounced up my steps, held her bucket out, it had only 2 wrapped lollies in it...awwww.... I had a skull hanging down, one of the older boys saw it as he was going, he nearly fell down and he dropped his lollies....LOL. I ran out at 9pm so I took my sign down. Granddaughter is going to the combined fireworks/halloween thing out West tonight with dad. Kept her a bag of scary lollies. |

| 1387432 | 2014-10-31 20:10:00 | last year I ran out of lollies because a few groups of kids came, so this year I bought extra ones. So, not one turned up! Now stuck with a basket of fruit bursts and crunchie bars, don't think it'll be too much of a problem though! LL |

| 1387438 | 2014-11-01 00:55:00 | I'm against it, but can't resist the little kiddies, so we stocked up with various wrapped sweets. But no-one turned up. We had one visit from a few kids. Mr Marnie answered the door and gave each of them a few wrapped treats. I asked what they looked like, he said he didn't know as they all had scary masks on. It was raining and we live up a fairly long steep driveway, that probably explains why more didn't come! Shame about the fact we have a few sweets left. :) Oh, and they did say thank you. |
