438073 2006-03-14 11:50:00 Hi, I have a Netgear WGT624 V2 Wireless Router + Netgear ADSL Mode, connected with Xtra. I don't general have a problem surving the internet but somehow when using Skype or BT the connection to internet drops. I see on other websites that this is caused by NAT requests or packet loss. have try to use port forwarding and increase my number of request allowed "tcpip.sys" in xp to 100 or 1000 but still disconnects. As soon as these programs are loaded the whole internet drops until I restart the router.

Have anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it.

Or I can buy another wireless router that works in NZ for xtra.

Cheers

438074 2006-03-14 19:31:00 Hi, havent had much experience with VOIP, however I would imagine the best place to go for help would be the Skype help forums. SolMiester (139)
438075 2006-03-17 14:44:00 Thanks. But what I am saying is that whenever a program such as voip or BT or such uploading/downloading software is loaded the wireless router is down and needs to restart before any internet can be connected. If it is just simple net surving its ok. I think its NAT overload with requests. sny ideas anyone. I can't download anything like mp3 or talk in skype. cityhunter2000 (8700)
438076 2006-03-17 18:48:00 I would start by looking at Netgears website for a firmware update. CYaBro (73)
