2006-03-13 08:17:00 | Ok, now i use opera, and at the moment KOL ISP. But the pages wont finish loading.... for the last week.... speed is good on dial up, around 49 - 52 so why is it not loading? driving me nutty i close tabs, reload Browser and even restart comps, done a defrag and other things but its just getting worse.... cant have multi tabs open or refreshing at same time ? whats likely to be my next step? i cant change isp's yet, but am looking at it in the future anyway. need help. not sure if its a me thing or a peach thing, help please. beetle

2006-03-13 08:32:00 | pages take anything up to ten mins to load all objects... took me a while to notice this on some pages cos i usually have multi tabs open and move between them, IE does actually go faster than opera... but i wont use it..... its still slow but in a min a page is fully loaded. so........ it may be a broswer thing... beetle

2006-03-13 09:32:00 | A friend of mine who was also with kol has also had similar problems this last week, and they have now changed to ihug today. Changing ISP seems to have fixed their problem so it looks like it was probably an isp issue. DId you notice whether it was for both national and international websites, or just international. | rogerp (6864) | |
2006-03-13 19:27:00 | Didn't realise you had posted this thread last night. :p Forgot to ask you, are the pages slow loading all day or only at certain times of the day? And when you say "speed is good on dial up, around 49 - 52" is that what it says in the Tasktray? If so that isn't an indication of your speed, only what you connected at. You find out your dialup speed when you download something and from what you told me that is currently re-e-e-eally slow, right? Let us know what happens when you upgrade to Opera 8.53.

2006-03-13 20:27:00 | fine this morn but new opera wouldnt open my saved session and so i had to delete the saved sessions and started from scratch.... so it could be a operator thing or a isp thing... but then i dont have as many tabs open as usual. LOL beetle
