437665 2006-03-12 23:08:00 It's hard to imagine that your vid card isn't in Device Manager.

Take another look. Try running Drivercleaner, a highly recommended app that removes all traces of your old drivers, then reinstall your latest drivers.

437666 2006-03-12 23:59:00 You are looking under the "display adapters" node of device manager, right?

If appropriate, you may try disabling the on-board video via BIOS

You'll frequently see something like "Init display first" in BIOS . Make sure it initializes your AGP / PCIe / PCI express / PEG display first.

437667 2006-03-13 02:37:00 So whats your problem? Your getting worse framerates with a 6200GT as opposed to a TI4600 in CS? Ever occur to you that maybe a 4600 offers better performance than a 6200GT? Bigger numbers arent always better. Dont you just love these people who describe a situation and dont actually ask questions. Pete O'Neil (6584)
437668 2006-03-13 07:18:00 I think the OP is stating that the ti4600 wasnt there in device manager to remove, as he had already phyiscally removed the hardware from the pc to install the new card....?, but not sure?

Interesting about those frames...however OP, you are forgetting that of course the frame rates will take a fall when more moving objects are brought into play.

Isnt the 6200 like a hamstringed 6600, with turbo cache ram.....

My favourite card the Ti4600, loved that card.

Is that CS as in the original DX7/8 or something?, the Ti4600 will wipe the floor with the newer card in DX7
