| 438061 | 2006-03-19 10:50:00 | I am running Xtra 2mb and have noticed that too, (tested using Terrys link). I tested the USA one and got 1366kbps down/72kbps up. In theory it should be 2048kbps down/ 128kbps up (what the plan is(yes I know about the speed drops over distance)) |

Here's a nice speed test site I found from that previous link: www.speakeasy.net At 10.25am I'm getting 1913/108 to 1959/121 kbs, nothing wrong with that for a 2Mbps xtra connection :) |

| 438066 | 2006-03-20 05:01:00 | The thing is as drcspy indicates, the Xtra jetstreamgames site will test more or less subject to 'overheads', the actual, maximum download speed you can expect, since the connection is short and very few nodes. The overseas link I gave is more representative of the sort of speeds you'd get when going via the Southern Cross cable and others, through a number of nodes, the speeds will vary from test to test even on the same site with time as traffic etc varies. |
