| 438713 | 2006-03-16 19:53:00 | I also had trouble with this model. Tried opening ports and couldn't get it to work so I flashed the firmware. That was a big mistake and the unit became a brick. I think Xtra has their own firmware on this one and it's just a pig to work with. Luckily I managed to con Xtra into sending me a new unit, the 504G (by their mistake) and port forwarding was easy to set up on that. | Sb0h (3744) | ||

| 438716 | 2006-03-17 09:55:00 | I also had this problem.... but after searching I was able to find out how to bypass the Xtra firmware. For the 302G, try this: 1. go run and type "cmd" and press enter 2. Type "telnet 10.1.1.1" and press enter 3. Login to the console using the username admin password admin (or whatever you may have changed the admin password to) 4. Type "create nat rule entry ruleid (Whatever number) rdr lcladdrfrom (Your IP) lcladdrto (Your IP) destportfrom num (The Port) destportto num (The Port) lclport num (The Port)" press enter 5. Type "commit" press enter 6. Type "exit" - done! And this worked to open the ports for me. HTH  |
