| 438278 | 2006-03-15 07:11:00 | I just know there is an easy answer, as I had the problem before and didn't write the F1 answer down. Stupid me. I have no sound from my fancy new Toshiba lap top. I have tried all the usual things on the Control Panel - Sounds and Audio devices, but nothing works. There is something simple I am missing. What is it - oh please, what is it:( I would just like to add a Sony active speaker system so that I can play music while overseas; it works a charm on my old IBM. But even without that, there is no sound at all. Help! |

| 438281 | 2006-03-15 20:32:00 | look for the volume control dial on the side or front of the laptop, or it maybe one of the Fn keys - read the manual | quarry (252) | ||
| 438282 | 2006-03-15 20:35:00 | If we knew what model the laptop was, it would help. I have searched the Toshiba site, but can find no such model as "fancy new".... New Satellite models have a rotary volume wheel on the front at right. |
