438973 2006-03-18 02:24:00 I have just bought a Netgear WPN824 WiFi Router and am trying to install on my Win98 SE system, unfortunately when I put the installation disk in, it brings up a window advising me 'log off and log back on again with administrator rights'.

I am currently set up as the only user on this machine, and it is connected to a Dick Smith Router and three other PC's in my home network.

Have tried the Netgear and Microsoft websites, but have been of no help.

:help:

438974 2006-03-18 02:33:00 I think its talking about logging into the router, not admin rights to 98 .

Since 98 doesnt have admin and guest . AFAIK .

438975 2006-03-18 08:45:00 Thanks for your input. I have resorted to bypassing the installation cd and have manually configured. I am using it now, so I guess I must have got it right :D . I should not panic so quickly (have only been working on this for two days!) I think it was the bit in the setup guide that told me 'do not plug the router in yet', which I have now ignored and used the manual to set up. Cheers flobine (10010)
