| 438930 | 2006-03-17 21:10:00 | For no obvious reason I get the following error message; NSCSRVCE.exe - Unable to locate component This application failed to start because ccL30.dll was not found Reinstalling the application may fix the problem. What application!! I suspect that this is a symantec software problem, and removed - reinstalled Norton System Works 2006. The problem only showed sometime after this was originally installed. Problem remains. The error is somtimes showing immediately after booting other times does not show for several days. When it does show, there are 4-6 copies to delete. There is no apparent problem arising from this file not executing. I run Windows XP sp2, Pentium 4, 160Gig drive, 1Gig memory so plenty of resources. Very frustrating, so would appreciate siggestions. Grant Waterman |

| 438931 | 2006-03-17 21:37:00 | Ok.. the best way to fix a Nortons issue is... Download something like AVG or Avast (a free Antivirus) and update fully Download Spybot 1.4 or AdAware (a free anti spyware application) and update fully Download the files from this page (service1.symantec.com) Follow the instructions on the above page Run AVG or Avast [and whatever anti spyware you downloaded] to check for anything that might prevent Nortons from installing correctly Reinstall Nortons (if you want) |
