438934 2006-03-17 22:23:00 Am I right to assume I need a second sound card to use Skype? I can only find one sound outlet plug on my PC which feed the speakers so to plug in the headset and use Skype I'd have to disconnect the speakers.

Or am I missing something?

438935 2006-03-17 22:50:00 You should be able to use speakers as your audio output. Its the microphone you really need to worry about. bob_doe_nz (92)
438936 2006-03-17 23:01:00 Ah - didn't think of that. But it means that everyone else in the room has to participate in the conversation which isn't what I'd want. What is the easiest answer? Winston001 (3612)

Warrick.

438938 2006-03-17 23:47:00 For $30 from tricky dicky you can get a USB VOIP (skype) phone that plugs into the front of your machine and takes over the sound. One unplugs it if playing music etc, but they work great! personthingy (1670)
