| 438857 | 2006-03-17 17:03:00 | I have no "flashing icon" in my system tray when connected to broardband. This in both Xandros and in XP. |

Go to Control Panel, then open Network Connections, right click the ethernet connection you use to connect, click properties. At the bottom of the screen that pops up, there will be a radio tick box with "Show icon in notification area when connected". Tick that and click ok. Done. |

Can you actually access the internet on both OSs? If you did remove them yourself, then you should be able to put Xandros icon back by right-clicking on the taskbar in a blank area and selecting Add to Panel > Applet and selecting the appropriate applet. If you then need to move the icon to a different position, right-click just to the left on the icon so that you get a menu that offers "Move". Select that and move the mouse along to the new position and left-click to release it. |
