| 439216 | 2006-03-21 07:48:00 | Yea I had a look at the database of games that Cedga and WINE support. Some of his favourite games are supported, like; Battlefield 2 - Cedga Morrowind - Cedga But some aren't, like; FB+AEP+Pacific Fighters Age of Empires III etc... (the list of games that he has that are supported and aren't is longer than this) P.S. (so apart from a few minor differences in how SuSE and Xandros preform tasks, the main reason that SuSE has 5x more CD's is because it comes with more apps that you'd normally have to download to use with Xandros?) |

A single CD is just enough for a basic installation (which will have a surprisingly large selection of applications however). The OS itself is fairly small by comparison with That Other OS. If you've got a fast connection, it's not all that important. Linux applications are a lot smaller than Windows ones. (Except for things like GIMP or Open Office... which are frequently available on magazine CDs and DVDs, anyway.) |
