439663 2006-03-21 08:41:00 I'm having trouble sending a important email to Dad, its saying its been rejected due to possible virus, so I updated antivirus and spyware and ran them both and both came up clean, so i restarted computer and did another virus and spyware scan, still clean. Resent the email....was rejected again.

Is there something else I can do? As I really need to send this email, and I can send it by hotmail, but its preferable to be done with my normal email address, and if its being rejected now, then miore emails will be rejected by others if i dont resolve this..

Am using Outlook Express with Nortons Antivirus 2004, and adaware

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Chris

439664 2006-03-21 08:59:00 Are you trying to send an attachment with the email such as an .exe, .doc.xls etc if so zip it up then try sending again bartsdadhomer (80)
439665 2006-03-21 09:02:00 Is the problem that it wont send, or that your father can't receive it? Are you sending any attatchments? Some attatchment file types aren't allowed by certain clients, if this is the case (eg you're sending an exe), try renaming the file to give it a different file type (.txt for example), with a note in the email advising that the file type needs to be changed.

[edit]
Heh, i got beat. Although, homer, some programs wont let you send even a zipped exe, it has to have the file changed.
