| 439937 | 2006-03-22 11:03:00 | Hi, I've installed Skype 2.0, along with a new Logitech headset, and a Logitech webcam with mic. Skype works fine with just the headset, but as soon as I plug in the webcam, I get video fine, but the sound goes completely staticy. When I remove the webcam, sound is perfect through just the headset. I think I need to turn the mic off on the webcam, but damned if I can find out how. Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 is the model. When I installed it I just chose to install the drivers, I don't want the whole software suite cos I'm gonn a use Skype for VC, not the Logitech software... Cheers, Brendan |

For 2) Open the Device manager (My Computer->R-Click->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager) Then double click the the Mic in the device list (probably found under sound, video and game controlers), at the bottom is a drop down list, select disable from that list. Hope this all helps |
