| 440092 | 2006-03-23 12:29:00 | Is anything better than a Microsoft product? In the end, only you can make that call. As a Linux user, I have opted for OpenOffice2.0 as my office app (needed for CV'S etc) I have found it to be quite good and very compatible with MS Word. The formatting is very near to that of MS Word, but I have heard tables can be a bit of an issue (I think Graham_L said something to that effect). I don't know as I haven't needed to use the tables, nor the other parts of OpenOffice (the equivalent of powerpoint and excel .. though I have heard OO2 does have issues with .ppts (Windows powerpoint presentations)). Again I can't confirm/deny as I haven't needed to use them |
