439795 2006-03-23 02:32:00 Something like this (www.globesoft.com) might do the job.
They have a 30 day trial.

439796 2006-03-23 04:33:00 DUNNO MUch about networking but would two nics allow this ?No, it's not about the physical connection to the network, but about how you are authorised once you are connected. forgotmypassword (10036)

I had a look, and it seems mostly concerned with IP addressing, and VPN/Wireless setup.. I've emailed their sales people and asked them.

439798 2006-03-23 05:33:00 Would this be useful? Working Remotely (www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/learnmore/russel_02march04.mspx). At least Microsoft have tried to make it possible. ;) Graham L (2)
439799 2006-03-23 05:41:00 Would this be useful? Working Remotely (www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/learnmore/russel_02march04.mspx). At least Microsoft have tried to make it possible. ;)Thanks for the input, but not what I am looking for. Crazy is not exactly a home network. Internet, or IP addressing settings I am having trouble with (both networks use DHCP).

The trick is both networks use a domain for centralised authentication, and other things (like roaming profiles between PCs) and I want to get access to that.

Thanks again.. all input is *most* appreciated

439800 2006-03-23 06:05:00 You can't get "access to that", until you have sorted out DHCP or fixed IP addresses. That's what that MS article is about, surely. Graham L (2)
439801 2006-03-23 07:23:00 I'm getting lost with what you want!?...LOL

Log into Boring domain when at shop A, with boring\user.

& when at shop B, login to crazy domain with crazy\user profile.

Is that it?. If so no worries, if you wish to authenciate to 2 different domains at once, the domains have to have a trust, which was when NT4 was around. Nowadays, their are Forests & Trees & OU. The network administrator who be the only person to with rights to this. Lets not go there.

I cant imaging to separate domains would be on the same NIC, so perhaps you dont want to login to 2 domains at once after all. Ouch my head! :illogical

Edit: My laptop logs onto my home domain @ home, work domain @ work, and also its own local domain for the administrator account.

439802 2006-03-23 09:13:00 Yeah - in my example they are domains within the same organisation. somebody (208)
