| 439958 | 2006-03-22 16:49:00 | I just switched my computer to a digital line and now any pictures are coming up distorted in color. I don't know where to start since I know nothing about computers. The cable company said it was a PC issue. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could try? Thank you. |

It was fine while the guy was there hooking it up but then the next day, the picture on my screen saver was distorted and now they all are whether I'm connected to the internet or not. Text is fine, just pictures. I don't know if it's a screen resolution problem or maybe a need to upgrade my video or graphics card? | 439962 | 2006-03-22 23:33:00 | Ring your cable companys help desk, if the problem happened the day after it was hooked up then odds are it may have done something to your system, and they may know how to fix it otherwise right click on your desktop >a popup menu should appear >select properties you should get the display setting contol panel appear > select settings what is your colour set to 256 colour high colour (16bit) true colour (32bit) If it is set at 256 colour your images would look pretty awful, my 2k system has ocasionally reset to 256 colours and switching it to true colour solves the problem, even high colour is an improvement If it is already set to true colour, then it may be to check your video card drivers |
