course it's crap - these have been around for years & they've been taken to court (US) - if you want more ram, buy more ram |

Well I know that the software really helped free up RAM on my Win 98 PC with 64MB SDRAM. However it's usefulness on Win XP is fairly limited other than for monitoring how much free RAM you have. |

If technicianxp is correct, it's just monitoring RAM in XP. I certainly wouldn't turn over XP's own active garbage collector process to a third party: It's a core built-in process. |

Those software that say they are freeing up your ram probably just increase your paging file and tell the computer to use that instead, or do something just as stupid -
either way the only way to get more ram is to buy more ram and quit pointlessly stupid programs that sit in the tray and do nothing. |
