| 441323 | 2006-03-27 20:28:00 | right, my firewire external hard drive is not being detected either. so the prob is, the firewire card is being read but anything i plug into it is not detected | Downie (10075) | ||
| 441324 | 2006-03-27 20:41:00 | perhaps the devices you are trying to use thru the firewire also need drivers installed........i have a firewire card, (pinnacle dv) and it detects and runs my digital camera perfectly. When I plug it in and turn the camera on it' pops up windoze movie maker..... | drcspy (146) | ||
| 441325 | 2006-03-27 20:42:00 | also shows the camera in 'my computer' as ......well... a camera lol ...and will show a 'live' pic if I have the cam on..... | drcspy (146) | ||
| 441326 | 2006-03-27 20:59:00 | also shows the camera in 'my computer' as ......well... a camera lol ...and will show a 'live' pic if I have the cam on..... i checked for jvc gr-dvl160 drivers and it says firewire cams do not need drivers as the firewire card does the work. this confuses me as my card IS working fine but i cannot access my cam. i think i may have a disc at work for the hard drive tho. |
